Clean Cooking Activities
ZYMCCC works with youths and women from disadvantaged backgrounds and equips them with skills to earn livelihoods in a sustainable fashion. We train our beneficiaries to build and maintain biogas digesters using locally available materials. We also educate and promote the adoption of clean energy practices such as the use of simple down drought gasifiers and solar thermal heating. The organisation goes further to provide management and business training to beneficiaries as they are assisted to set up cooperatives which go on to set up the same technologies for their counterparts for a profit. As ZYMCCC we are therefore there to offer interventions which prevent climate change by promoting clean energy practices such as the use of clean cookstoves and fuels.
Partnership
ZYMCCC endeavors to help the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves achieve the 100 by '20 goal by expanding our projects on solar and biogas to all rural homes in the country. We intend to roll out more awareness programs on the effects of smoke inhalation, climate change, and gender equality. This way we will help spur the necessary action by communities and relevant authorities in implementing clean energy practices. In a personal capacity, we intend to train more youths and women to build and use efficient cooking mechanisms within our catalog of green technologies. ZYMCCC will ensure a 100% adoption of clean fuels by all targeted rural households by 2020.
